Pistorius Farms

How we got here

The Pistorius Farms heritage began in 1884 when John Pistorius, a German immigrant, bought 40 acres just north of Blue Mound, Illinois. This land was given to his son, David, to farm and build a homestead. In 1898, David and his wife Emma, along with family and neighbors, built a two-story prairie-style home that continues to grace the farmstead today. The roots of the Pistorius Farms operation have spanned six generations and continues to grow and thrive today. Although the dynamics of farming have changed over the past 120 years, our passion and dedication for living off of the soil are still the same.
